Refund policy

Returns, refunds & warranty

Most problems we can fix without you posting anything back, so email us first. If a return is the right answer, you have 30 days from delivery, wherever you are.

Before you send anything back

Email team@movement-made.com and tell us what's wrong. A lot of what people return is fixable without a parcel going anywhere — the wrong size, a strap that needs adjusting, a part that seems missing but isn't, or equipment that isn't set up quite right.

If you want a different size or model, say so and we'll arrange a swap rather than a refund. It's faster than returning and reordering, and you keep the item you actually wanted.

How to return something

  1. Fill in the return form. Tell us your order number and what you're sending back. Start a return.
  2. We email you a prepaid label, usually within two working days. It already has the right address on it, so you don't need to look one up.
  3. Send it within 14 days of receiving the label. Items sent back without a label from us can't be accepted, because we won't know whose parcel it is.
  4. We refund you within 14 days of the parcel arriving, to your original payment method.

Return shipping

We send you a prepaid label and deduct the cost from your refund. There is no fee on a faulty or damaged item, and no fee if we sent you the wrong thing.

  • Norway — 200 NOK — goes to our office in Fagernes
  • Germany — €10 — goes to our German warehouse
  • Rest of the EU and EEA — €15 — goes to our German warehouse
  • United Kingdom — €15 — goes to our German warehouse
  • Switzerland — €15 — goes to our German warehouse
  • United States — $10 — goes to our US warehouse in Texas
  • Canada — CAD 75 — goes to our German warehouse
  • Everywhere else — €80 — goes to our German warehouse

The return fee never exceeds your refund. If sending something back would cost more than the item is worth, email us before you start and we'll find a better answer.

What we can take back

Almost anything. Sale items included.

Send items back in the condition you'd expect to find them in a shop — unworn, unwashed, with tags and original packaging where they came with them. Unpacking something and trying it on is fine. If it comes back visibly used or damaged, we may reduce your refund to reflect the loss in value.

We can't take back gift cards. Festival tickets and Outpost bookings have their own cancellation terms, shown when you book.

Damaged, faulty or wrong item

Please check your order when it arrives and email team@movement-made.com if anything is defective, damaged in transit, or isn't what you ordered. A photo helps us sort it faster.

We'll send a free return label and either replace the item or refund you in full, including the original delivery cost. There's no return fee on a faulty item, ever.

Your 14-day right of withdrawal

This section applies if you are in Norway, the EU, the EEA or the United Kingdom.

On top of our 30-day policy, the law gives you 14 days from the day you receive your order to cancel it for any reason, without giving a justification.

To use it, just tell us within those 14 days. Start a return the same way as always, or email team@movement-made.com — the law only asks for a clear statement that you're cancelling, and either of those is enough. You then have a further 14 days to send the goods back.

When you cancel this way we refund the item price plus what you paid for standard delivery. If you chose a faster or more expensive delivery option, we refund the standard rate. You still cover the cost of sending the goods back, which is the return shipping figure listed above.

We'll refund you within 14 days of being told you're cancelling, though we may wait until the goods reach us or you show proof you've sent them.

The condition rules above don't limit your right to cancel within these 14 days. You can handle and inspect the goods as you would in a shop, and we may only reduce your refund for handling that goes beyond that.

If you'd prefer to use a formal cancellation notice, a model withdrawal form is available. You don't need it.

If something turns out to be faulty

Separately from returns, you have a legal right to a repair, replacement, price reduction or refund if an item was defective when it reached you. This is not the same as a guarantee, and nothing in this policy shortens it.

  • Norway — 5 years on goods meant to last well beyond two years, such as our rings, parallettes and hardware. 2 years on everything else.
  • EU and EEA — 2 years, and longer in some countries.
  • United Kingdom — 6 years to bring a claim, 5 years in Scotland.
  • Switzerland — 2 years.
  • Elsewhere — your local law applies, plus our own warranty below, whichever is better for you.

For the first two years after delivery, we have to show that a fault wasn't there when the item left us. After that, it's on you to show that it was.

Our warranty

We back our equipment for longer than the law requires, anywhere in the world.

  • Rings, parallettes, carabiners and hardware — 5 years
  • Clothing — 2 years
  • Resistance bands, straps and elastic — 2 years

What this covers: faults in the material or the making — a weld that fails, wood that splits along a defect, stitching that comes apart under normal load, hardware that doesn't hold its rated strength.

What it doesn't cover:

  • Normal wear. Rubber has a working life — bands oxidise, and chalk, sunlight and heat shorten it. A band that gives out after a couple of years of regular use has reached the end of its life rather than failed.
  • Damage from misuse, modification, or loading beyond the stated rating.
  • Weathering from leaving equipment outdoors.
  • Marks, patina and colour change from use.

This is a promise we give voluntarily and in addition to your legal rights. It never replaces them, and where the law gives you more, the law wins.

Refunds

We check every return when it arrives and email you either way. Approved refunds go back to your original payment method within 14 days, minus the return shipping listed above. Any VAT or sales tax you paid us comes back with the item price. Your bank may take a few more days to post it.

Still nothing after 14 days from our approval email? Write to team@movement-made.com and we'll chase it.

Customs duties and import charges

This applies to orders delivered to the United Kingdom, Switzerland, Canada and the rest of the world outside the EU. It does not apply to orders within the EU, to Norway, or within the United States.

If you paid duties or import VAT directly to the carrier before they handed your parcel over, that money went to your customs authority, not to us, so it isn't ours to refund. You can usually reclaim it yourself once the goods leave the country again — email us and we'll send you proof of the return to support the claim. Anything we charged you at checkout is refunded in full, as part of the item price.

Exchanges

Wrong size or wrong model? Email us before you start a return and we'll set up a swap. You send the original back with a label from us and we ship the replacement.

If you need the replacement urgently, ordering it straight away and returning the original separately is quicker, since you won't be waiting for the first parcel to travel back to us.

Questions

Email team@movement-made.com. A real person reads it, and we'd rather sort a problem out than have you puzzle over a policy page.

If we can't resolve something between us, consumers in the EU and EEA can find their national dispute resolution body through the European Commission's list of dispute resolution bodies. Consumers in Norway can contact Forbrukertilsynet. We're not obliged to take part in proceedings before a consumer arbitration board, but we'll always try to settle things directly first.
