Activities and places to go before and after the Movement Made Festival

Suggestions for activities before and after the festival in the Valdres region:

    • Hike the famous Besseggen Ridge: Take the bus from Fagernes to Gjendesheim and hike one of Norway’s most iconic mountain trails. Read more here: Besseggen Ridge

    • Boat trip on Lake Bygdin with M/B Bitihorn: Take the bus to Bygdin and board the historic boat M/B Bitihorn. You can either travel across the lake to Eidsbugarden on the western side (with bus connections from there), or plan a mountain hike on one of the many stunning peaks surrounding the area. More info here: Boat Bitihorn

    • Via Ferrata at Synshorn: An adventurous climbing route with incredible views, starting right at Bygdin. More info: Synshorn Via Ferrata

    • Cycling paradise around Nøsen: The festival venue is right along the famous Mjølkevegen – one of Norway’s most beautiful cycling routes. The 250 km trail takes you through mountain scenery and traditional summer farms (stølslandskap), and you can join the route from wherever you like. Bike rentals available here (only 9 km from the festival site): Intersport Vaset

    • Island hopping in the Oslofjord: take the local ferries between small islands such as Hovedøya, Gressholmen, and Langøyene – perfect for swimming, picnics, and short hikes while enjoying nature just minutes away from the city center 🏝️

Suggestions for things to do in Bergen before or after the festival:
